Amy Turns One!

Amy is ONE! It has been the craziest, most emotional, roller coaster,
exhausting, sleepless, joyful, exciting, happy, pleasant and fulfilling
year ever! We had a big open house for Amy to
celebrate her birthday. We had a lot of family and friends
come to see Amy. Here are some pictures of the Birthday Girl!

Jeff ordered this cake for Amy from Costco
We decorated Nana and Papa Mortensen's house
Aunt Crystal hung this sign for Amy

We displayed lots of pictures of Amy, as well
as some of her "Premie" clothes
 and hospital "memorabilia"
like her tiny blood pressure cuffs
and her bilirubin goggles.
Jeff made cotton candy as party favors, he did
a great job! It made buying the cotton
candy machine really worth it :)

Amy was beautiful in the purple dress
that Jeff and I picked out for her.
I know this pic is dark, but I still love it.
 Such a big girl!!
This is her "I'm so excited I can't even stand it" face.
She is such a goofy girl. Definitely not lacking in personality.

We love her! We are so glad that she is ours!
Happy 1st Birthday Amy Alice :)

Studio Pics

My dad let Jeff use his studio to take some
pictures yesterday. Jeff took some sweet pictures!
Brady (and his mustang), Marcee, Emily
and Tyler came along to help model.

Chompers

Amy's had bottom teeth for a while now...

She's been working on her top teeth, they're almost here!

Mr. M

I love him.

Horseback Riding

A few weeks ago we helped my mom with her
"Activity Days" event. She had planned taking the girls
to Ashley's barn to ride horses. We went along to help.
Jeff helped Amy with her first horse ride! She had a great time!
She wasn't even afraid of the horses, I was impressed.

Fall Photo Shoot

I love when the leaves begin to change colors
and the weather starts to change. It's
a beautiful time of year. A few weekends ago,
we went up with my parents, Emily and Tyler,
to take some "senior pictures" of Emily.
While we were up there, we couldn't resist
taking a few of Amy! It's hard to believe she'll be
turning ONE in LESS THAN A MONTH!

Amy's First Road Trip!

Labor Day weekend we went on a road trip with Brady and Marcee!
Our destination was California but we stayed in Las Vegas
on our way to and from. We had such a great time!
Amy did surprisingly well overall. I think I whined
more than she did about being in the car so long! :)

She entertained herself a lot in this mirror. She has
some of the funniest facial expressions.
Hangin' out by the pool
What a bunch of kids!

This was Amy's first time ever in a
 swimming pool! She loved it!

We drove to the beach one day. We had a really good
time. Amy liked when I dipped her toes in
the water. She also liked having her feet in the sand.

My handsome husband, Jeff.

We went to Jeff's grandparents house in Sun City
to visit and to help Brady and Marcee pick
up a piano. This was Amy's first time
meeting Great Grandpa Hunsaker

We had a great trip! Thank you Brady and Marcee for making it
all happen! We're so lucky to have such
experienced travelers in our family. :)
