You know you're a "Newlywed" when...

...you spend your Saturday night counting
all of your spare change!

Saturday night we decided randomly to gather all of our change and put it in rolls. I keep a small jar in our closet and have built the bulk of what you see over the past few months. We collected all of the rest from our wallets, our cars and even a little "tootsie roll" cup thing that Jeff keeps on his dresser.

All together, we found $79!!

Moral of the story is- Every penny counts! (Especially if you are a Newlywed!)

"Nacho! Nacho! Nacho!" Halloween 2009

My husband had a "light bulb" moment about a month ago for what our Halloween costumes would be. NACHO LIBRE and a Nun. TaDa!! We started right away searching the internet for Nacho cosutmes. None would suffice. So, I did it the old fashioned way and headed to get some fabric. It was fun to make Jeff's costume and I think it turned out pretty good!! To say the least, he LOVED it! He was like a little boy in that costume. We had a blast. Each time someone approached us he would exclaim "Can't you see this woman is a Nun?!" (if you haven't seen Nacho Libre you're probably a little lost. Watch it! It's stupid but funny).

So, here we are -

NACHO LIBRE and a NUN!

(oh, and there's Charlie, my in-laws' puppy)

Zach and Jeannette had some gruesome cuts for their costume,

and Zeke was an adorable, plump pumpkin!

Jared and Ashley (and little Jake) in their ARMY attire.

DAD and MOM. They surprised everyone with very "out of their element" costumes... Ha ha. They were good sports. When I asked my dad where they got their costumes he replied by saying "from someone in the ward who will be speaking in Sacarament meeting the rest of their lives." :) I'm not sure if the ward members put them up to the challenge of wearing these awesome duck suits, or if my mom somehow convinced my dad to match this Halloween and the ducks were their only option. However it came to be- it sure gave us a good laugh! Also pictured below is Bryan and Alondra. Bryan was a Ninja Turtle and Alondra was a Cheerleader!

I wasn't able to get a picture of Sam or Emily... Those two didn't stay still long enough for me to get a picture. Overall, we had a wonderfull Halloween. We can't wait 'til next year!
