Growing Baby Amy

Amy has had a great couple of weeks up at 

PCMC. She has been taken off 

all oxygen support, now weighs 4 lbs and 6oz

 and is working on feeding from a bottle!

 Also- Papa, Nana, Opa and Oma (grandparents)

 were all able to hold her for the first time last week! 

She is growing so fast. Her face changes everyday. It is

 still undetermined whether she will need a 

permanent shunt or not at this point.

 We are also unsure of when she will be able to come home. 

We take things one day at a time. Thankfully, all of the most

 recent days have been very pleasant! 

One Month Old!

Amy is now ONE MONTH old!

 It seems like she has been here so much longer...

She has now moved to Primary Children's. She has come so far 

this past month but still has a long way to go.

 Keep her in your prayers!

Amy had brain surgery on Dec 2nd. The surgery went well and 

all of the doctors are optimistic about it being the 

solution for the excessive fluid in her brain. 

She looks like she has red hair but it is really only the soap they
 use to clean her head each time they drain extra fluid from her brain.

Driving to Primary Children's every day is exhausting, but worth it. 

We are confident in the doctors and staff members

 of PCMC. She has so many prayers said in her behalf -

we know and feel Heavenly Father

 has a "staff" of his own at her bedside.

Thanksgiving

This year I am grateful for a little girl who came surprisingly early.

 Over the past two and a half weeks I have experienced intense fear,

 shed many tears and worried about the life of our sweet baby.

 It has been the most emotionally 

and physically draining two weeks of my life. 

However, I wouldn't change it for the world. 

We now have a beautiful daughter.

 Heavenly Father has trusted us with her care.

There was certainly a divine power that helped her come into

 this world so early and we are blessed to have her.

 Our testimonies have grown stronger, our marriage has grown stronger,

 and we have witnessed many miracles with her arrival.

I am grateful for my strong, loving, supportive husband.

He has helped me in so many ways and has been incredibly selfless.

 He is a wonderful husband and is an amazing dad. I love him so much.

Most of all, I am grateful for a Heavenly Father

 who is aware of me and my family. 

Prayer is real. The Priesthood is real. 

The great love of my Heavenly Father and my 

brother Jesus Christ gives me the calm assurance

that all will be well and helps me to push through each day.
